Adrian Evans

IP Specialist

Adrian works at the earliest stage of the IP protection process, determining the viability of a research discovery.

Biography

Previously a patent attorney for Henry Hughes Intellectual Property and, before that, a biotech patent examiner for the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand, Adrian holds degrees in both law and science, and is currently studying for a third in engineering (all from Victoria). This breadth of experience and understanding means he is able to quickly grasp how most inventions work, regardless of the research discipline.

Adrian determines the viability of a research discovery—assessing the opportunity, doing patent searches to see if the idea already exists, and overseeing the market research carried out by interns.
