Jeremy is a contractor at Wellington UniVentures, supporting our portfolio of biotechnology research. Jeremy uses his frontline experience of the biotech start-up world to slingshot the next cohort of Wellington UniVentures companies to market.
An organic chemist by trade, Jeremy has over 15 years’ experience in the biotech industry in a wide range of markets from pharmaceuticals through to research tools and medical diagnostics. He began his science career at GlycoSyn—the discovery, development and manufacturing arm of Callaghan Innovation—as a Process Development Chemist, before honing his commercialisation skills at KiwiNet, an organisation that supports public commercialisation offices by providing access to investment, training tools and networks.
Towards the end of his role at KiwiNet, he joined Wellington UniVentures as a Commercialisation Manager. Within a couple of months, he took the reigns leading one of Wellington UniVentures' (formerly Viclink's) spinout successes, AuramerBio, as CEO. After a three year stint, he returned to Wellington UniVentures to share what he's learned with emerging biotech entrepreneurs.
