Benjamin started work at Viclink in 2009 with a focus on marketing and populating the project pipeline. Since then his job has expanded to include increasing the entrepreneurial activity at Victoria University of Wellington though technology licensing, creating spin-out companies, promoting engagement with industry, and supporting entrepreneurial post-graduate students. In addition to this work experience, Benjamin has worked as a Consultant and in Sales and Product Development at Magritek, a scientific instrument Start-Up company.

By training Benjamin is a scientist and has completed 8 years of laboratory research focussed on the development of bio-inspired materials. Appreciating the importance of scientists in business he complemented this background by studying Management and Entrepreneurship at Victoria University of Wellington and Stanford University, respectively.
